The RAWR! Monsters

HAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
.......okay.....okay..........
...wait...
HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAH
!!!!!!!!

ALRIGHT!
Today, I have probably my most favourite design I've EVER come up with...
I've been wanting to do the monsters for a while now...but just never got around to it...until I saw these:

A pack of Wiggle Eyes at Michaels? YES PLEASE!
So I grabbed a pack, giggled my way through the whole entire store and got started.
What can I say, I get amused easily.

To draw the monsters, I used the following:
Color Club's Ooh La La, and The Hungry Asian's Sneeze Breeze

I won Sneeze Breeze in her latest giveaway.
This polish is packed with awesome glitters. I absolutely LOVE!

I also used acrylic paint that I got from Michaels.

Now...the monsters....
I searched up some ugly monsters on google for inspiration and found this picture:

...and then these happened...
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
I can't look at these and NOT laugh....the wiggle eyes totally just bring them to life!
They're so ugly....so ugly that they're ADORABLE!

These wiggle eyes make me wish I had bigger nails so I could stick them ALL OVER!
My favourite monster has GOT to be the little guy on my pinky....
LOOK AT HIS FACE!

Anyway, I hope you had a good laugh at these creatures...because I sure did!
That's all for me today!

Have a great weekend, my loves!

Last week, I did my first collaboration with the talented folks at Stars United. We recorded a cover of Tamia's Almost. She is such a talented singer, I hope to be like her one day....I absolutely love that song!

My CrossFit Assessment Experience...on my nails

I know you're waiting anxiously for my post about yesterday's CrossFit experience...
Ready for the ultimate whinage?

MY ARMS HURRRRRRRRRT!!!! >.<

So I was really nervous going into this, considering the fact that I can't remember the last time I worked out.
I did yoga...but I knew that it's nothing compared to what I was about to endure.

What is CrossFit?
It is a strength and conditioning brand.
CrossFit combines weightlifting, sprinting, and gymnastics (Source: web)

I only did the assessment yesterday. Which means...it wasn't even the full workout.
This was my face, THE WHOLE TIME
The coach was super nice, and encouraging...but I was secretly cursing his name in my head
...over and over and over again...

This was the workout he put me through:
500m row
40 squats
30 sit ups
20 tucked elbow push ups
10 PULL UPS AKA death

The rowing, squats and sit ups were okay....I got tired pretty quickly....
The push ups.
He made me tuck my elbows in...and I had to touch my chest to the ground for it to count as 1
There was a point where my chest touched the ground and I didn't get back up. The floor never felt so great.
Then came the pull ups.
Which inspired today's mani...and in case it wasn't clear enough...

I had trouble REACHING the monkey bars standing on the blocks in the first place.
THEN I HAD TO PULL MYSELF UP?! With the assistant band of course.
He didn't count it if my chin wasn't above the bars. *ugly cry*

Coach: That's it! You're done! Don't you feel great?
Me: Oh, thanks! I think I'm going to go to my car and cry now.

He laughed....but I wasn't joking
I couldn't feel my arms. I had trouble reaching for the seatbelt. I couldn't get changed...
Apparently, what I did was just the warm up. People who go to crossfit regularly do them in 7 minutes...
I did them in 14....HAHA FAIL!

In case you're wondering....I did the mani with these.
(Sidenote: heh Magic Nail....Just one. lol and see CAT in the back?)

But yes, I loved my ugly face so much, I had a little fun with it.

hahaha, I could do this all day!

The verdict?
I'm going back....on Monday.....haha, YAY CROSSFIT!!!

Today's Nail Colour

SHABLAM!

I call these *RAWR NAILS*
No, I didn't come up with this desgin myself, if you looked at my blog post yesterday you'd know.

Left: Mine Right:Internet

I had no idea how this is properly done. Probably with a sponge? But I didn't have any...so here is how I accomplished this look, the WINNIE WAY:

Instead of the black tips, I used Grey Area from Sally Hansen. And the gold glitter polish I bought a while back at Forever 21.
You will also need a piece of paper to pour the glitter polish on, and a Q-tip. Pick one with the cotton tightly packed on to the rod thing to avoid cotton transfers onto your nails (technical, i know)

RAWR NAILS
  1. Draw on the tip with Grey Area free handedly, no need to make it perfect since the edge is going to be smudged in anyway. Let stand for about 2-4 seconds.
  2. Before it dries completely, dip the Q-Tip into the gold glitter polish that you poured out onto a piece of paper. (I started out with just enough to cover the tip of the q-tip)
  3. Dab it on to the edge of the dark tip with a little bit of force (see picture)
  4. By now, the gold glitter polish should be blending in with the dark tip
  5. Add glitter polish according to your preference, and add top coat
  6. ...and VOILA! You're all done!

I found it easier to do each finger at a time, as it is easier to blend the two together. Think of the possibilities!! Excited to try more combinations now!

I'm no expert, nor a crafty person....but I'm pretty damn proud of myself.
