Pizza, that is all

Yes, you are seeing correctly...that, in fact, is a giant pizza on a nail.
WHY PIZZA?

I love pizza.
It provides comfort, satisfies hunger...and pretty much covers the whole food pyramid....
HAHAHA It's my brain food when I'm doing intense nail art sessions!!

no...I don't look nearly as fierce as those lips when I eat pizza...
But in my mind, that's how it feels when I consume this magical piece of triangle looking thing...

PS.
CAN'T. STOP. MAKING. GIFS.
...you give me something I like, I will abuse until it's broken...
(and then I'll get a new one)

OH! If you're interested, here is the step by step:

Well, that's all for me today. Thank you for putting up with my randomness!

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY, LOVERS!

Geometric Ft. Sun Of A Peach

OH. MAH. GUH!
It's been MONTHS AND MONTHS since I blogged! I've been a horrible blog mom, but know that you were all sorely missed and life has not been the same ! I will leave what I've been up to in a different post. ^_^

If you follow me on Twitter you would know that I whined and whined about not being able to find China Glaze's Sun Of a Peach ANYWHERE!
WELL WELL WELL, the wonderful folks at Natali Products heard me ugly cry, and offered to send a bottle to me!! I love them.

Ladies and Gentleman, I present to you....THIS beautiful beast!

China Glaze- Sun Of A Peach was a part of the Sunsational Collection (Summer 2013). As you can imagine,  with it being so deliciously (and obnoxiously) bright, it was sold out on shelves everywhere.
It's SO VERY close to Flip Flop Fantasy. Except this one has more of an orange (peachy) tone, because...well...Sun of a PEACH? Get it?!

It took 3 coats for this colour to become completely opaque for me. Although the application was not as great as I would have liked, the finished product won my heart over! I think next time I'm going to try putting a coat of white underneath first!
This shade immediately earned a spot RIGHT UP THERE with Flip Flop Fantasy.
I'm going to build a fort, knit it a sweater, snuggle with it and LOVE IT FOREVER!

OK. OK. Now on to the nail art.
I currently have this weird thing for geometric everything right now...(TRIANGLE ALL THE THINGS!)
So naturally my brain took me where it often goes-- random places!!

I decided to go with gold, because I think it compliments the colour quite well. There is a sense of fierceness in this design, and I haven't been able to take my eyes off it today...
Which could possibly be a problem while driving...or walking....or eating.

^_^

A little about Natali Products:
They are a Beauty supply store located in Toronto, Ontario Canada. But don't worry, they ship world wide! They carry a wide range of beauty products from nail accessories to waxing strips!

What makes them so awesome? The ladies at Natali Products are knowledgeable and SO VERY helpful! They also take the time to appreciate and support those who are passionate about what they do, people like you and I! I only wish I was closer to where they are so I could give them all REAL HUGS!

So definitely make sure you head on over to one of their social platforms to show them some love!

Ahh...It's feels great to be back...
Stay tuned for MOAR!!! Until next time you sexy beasts!!!

HAVE THE MOST WONDERFUL DAY!

China Glaze Autumn Nights Swatches

Hey friends!!!
Now, I am definitely NOT ready for Fall. The only way you could possibly convince me that Summer is almost over is with pretty polishes...and that's EXACTLY what China Glaze did. Today I have half the Autumn Nights collection to share with you!

Overview:
China Glaze did SO WELL with the formula and coverage for this collection.
Almost every single bottle was a "one coat wonder" for me. So naturally, I got pretty excited...and loud squeals were let out constantly in the RAWR SHOP household. (Are you surprised? Me neither)

Up for swatches today, we have the following:

-Queen B-
Regal blue-purple crème

This one.....THIS ONE IS MY FAVOURITE! I have a soft spot for deep, luscious blues. This one has a tint of purple in it, which makes it even more majestic, so to speak. I could have totally left it with just one coat, but the second coat solidified my love for it...Oh Queen B, you and I will be spending many happy times together. <3

-Scandalous Shenanigans-
Rich blue shimmer

This colour reminds me of Superman's spandex...
annnnnd this is why I should never be given the job to name a polish....hahaha
Looking at the bottle alone, I thought the application of this polish was going to be quite sheer...but MAN OH MAN! It applied like a creme! Full coverage in one coat! It, however, puts your polish application skills to the test. I believe it's the shimmer in it? It makes every stroke quite apparent. So pretty though!

-Charmed, I'm Sure-
Gracious purple crème

I remember always reaching for shades similar to this on cooler days, so China Glaze was right on the money with this one! I will definitely be revisiting this one again when the leaves start turning brown!

-Red-y & Willing-
Frisky red shimmer

Oh...it's frisky alright!!!! This cherry red shimmer is seductive, yet classy. Definitely a go to shade for a sophisticated look. With some peep-toe shoes, this would make a killer pedicure!
The application of this was smoother than Scandalous Shenanigans (aka superman spandex), also, amazing coverage!

-Goldie But Goodie-
Eternal rust gold shimmer

This rusty gold is just lovely! Whenever a new collection comes out, my eyes usually gravitate towards bright and shinny things...it was no exception this time. I knew this was going to be as awesome as it looked in the bottle. This was 2 coats on bare nails, look at the coverage of it! Yup. Love.

-Gossip Over Omlet-
Platinum shimmer soiree

These last two are so metallic, they're pretty awesome! They make a mess during removal...but just look how pretty they are! It's worth it. The foil glitters in these bring them to a high shine...I see a lot of use for nail art for these two polishes!!

Of course I had to play around with these polishes after I'm done swatching them!
For the mani above, I used Queen B, Red-y & Willing, and Goldie But Goodie. I wanted to play with the gold shimmers to create a foil-like mani. Unfortunately, this didn't photograph as well as I had hoped...but that leaves room for improvement!! YAY!!

This collection is available in stores in September 2013! So if you like your shimmers and cremes, make sure you head on out to get some of these! Because the coverage is AHHH-MAYYYY-ZINGGGGG!!!!

Which one from the Autumn Nights collection will you be picking up?!

^_^
Have a good day, folks!

Motion in the Ocean

Hello Lovers of all places! Hope you're all having a wonderful week so far!

Can you believe that it's ALREADY August?! Soon enough, everyone's going to be rolling their Fall collection out...Oh Summer, it feels like I haven't even gotten a chance to know you yet >_<
SO to celebrate summer, I shall start with this nautical mani featuring China Glaze Too Yacht to Handle!

I think I like this even MOAR than Aquadelic.
With the white stripes, it totally enhances the awesomeness!

I started this mani with my middle finger...I knew I wanted to draw seashells on bare nails...and whattya know!? it turned out great!! I think I might do a whole set of seashells later on :D
After I freaked out about the seashells, I put on Too Yacht to Handle and just starred at it for a good half hour.
Finally decided on going with the rope and the boat steering wheel...because Yacht, boat...
(see what I did there? Too YACHT to Handle?? ha??)

This design makes me want to go on a boat ride...
...Anyone have a boat I can borrow??
^_^

Well!
That's all for me today!! I hope you enjoyed this mani as much as I did making it!

Have a fantastic day, beautifuls!

GET POLISHED- Pretty In Polka Dots

HI GANG!!!! Happy Friday!!!!

Today's mani is for this weekend's "Get Polished" Nail Art Workshop at Metropolis at Metrotown.
This is the third and very last workshop...and I must say...I'm really sad that it's coming to an end :(
I had the honour to meet such AMAZING Bloggers and nail artists, Jayne @ Cosmetic Proof, Angela @ Do Want Makeup, and Lindsay @ Nail Art By Lindsay!! <3
How awesome is it that we have WORKSHOPS that teach people how to nail art? Can we PLEASE have MOAR of that in this city?

Anyway, this week's theme is "Pretty In Polka Dots"
So I thought that it was only appropriate that I used China Glaze's Yellow Polka Dot Bikini

This dotticure is pretty self explanatory....
Now you might be wondering...what's with the middle finger?
Well...because I'm a rebel...and I like to do things that makes zero sense...so there's that.
I felt like I needed that finger to tie the rest of the mani in.

THEN
I used Butter London's Matte Finish Topcoat.
The BEST of the BEST! I honestly CANNOT find another bottle that does the same magic.
*sigh* I love it...so much....

SO YEA! AGAIN ONCE MORE!
If you're in town this weekend, please come by Metropolis at Metrotown to say HI!
^_^

Have an AWESOME weekend, lovers!!

GET POLISHED- Geometric Chic

Oh hello again! Seems like it was just yesterday when we saw each other. Well, that's because we did.
Hey guess what? It's FRIDAY!!

Today I have this geometric mani to share with you.
As you may already know, Lindsay @ Nail Art By Lindsay, Jayne @ Cosmetic Proof, Angela @ Do Want Makeup, and I are helping out at the nail art workshops put on by Metropolis at Metrotown.
The second workshop: Geometric Chic is happening this weekend!

3 sessions on both days (July 6 and 7) will be held at 11:00am /1:30pm /4:00pm
So come and check it out if you're in the area!!!!
For more information on how you can sign up for the workshop, visit here. Or you can also RSVP by calling Customer Service at 604-630-3344 during mall hours.

~About this mani~
I'm sure by now, you know that my need for all things random and obnoxious is uncontrollable.
I had every intention to keep this nani simple....and then this happened....

*The Ring Finger*
Triangle has GOT to be my favourite shape to put on a nail (I'm not sure why)
So I decided try out this tutorial by Lucy's Stash and I am in LURRRRRVE!!!!

For this mani, I used mostly all China Glaze polishes. Except for the gold you see here, that's Orly Luxe.
Thanks to Jayne's June favourite post, I finally got around to using Too Yacht To Handle, it is VERY similar to Aquadelic, except maybe a TID BIT brighter. It did make me *squee* so you know it's just as good!

SO YES!
If you're in town this weekend, come see me? We will laugh and hug!
Hope you like this mani...

Have the MOST wonderful weekend, lovers!

GET POLISHED- "Find What You Love" Chevrons

Hey there!! HAPPY FRIDAY!!
I don't know about you, but this week flew by real quick for me!

Today I have this cute chevron mani to share with you.
I, along side many other talented local beauty bloggers are going to be helping out at a Nail Art Workshop put on by Metropolis at Metrotown this weekend!!
There are 3 workshops in total, and this weekend June 22 and 23 marks the first one.

Check out the link to this event!
This event is by donation, benefiting an organization called Beauty Night .
There are prizes to be won, and all in all, a spectacular time! So if you're located in the Lower Mainland, make sure you come and take advantage of this FUN event!
We will be demonstrating the mani seen above...and oh....did I mention that there are swag bags involved?
YES!

With participation, you will receive 3 mini polishes, 1 mini Seche Vite top coat, emery board, and other fun stuff!!

About the mani...

For this mani, I used:
China Glaze- Flip Flop Fantasy, Highlight of My Summer (LOVE), and ORLY Luxe.

Since we all know my love for all things bright and obnoxious, I don't think I need to explain the reasoning behind my colour choices...haha

A little bit about Highlight of My Summer...I've been searching for the perfect MINT forever...and this colour totally satisfies my mint craving. The only thing that throws me off a little is that the formula of this is VERY streaky....it does not apply smoothly like the other neon cremes I own from China Glaze :(
Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Regardless, the mani turned out well. I am quite pleased with the colour combination!

This can be done either freehand or with those Ring Enforcers. Lindsay at Nail Art By Lindsay has a great video tutorial on how to achieve this!

That's all for me today! Hope to see some of you lovely people this weekend!

Have a wonderful day, lovers!

Product Review: KKCenterHK Triangle Studs

OH HAY THERE!
Long time no talk, I've been a bad blog mom....but don't worry, I'm back!!
^_^
Today I have a product review for these amazing Triangle Silver Studs* from kkcenterhk!

These studs are 5mm in size, and each package contains approximately 50 pieces of these hardcore studs.

For this mani, I created the gradient with China Glaze- Tart-y For The Party and Aquadelic
What a great colour combination!

My thoughts:
Studs are awesome. Soon, I will be hoarding all shapes and sizes...I just know it!
They are a great way to instantly spice up a manicure!
Depending on the shape and size of your nails, they may or may not stick out on the edges.
I would recommend securing the studs with either nail glue, or a good amount of topcoat to seal it in!

But of course, I couldn't just leave it at that...
Ahh....MUCH BETTER!

NOW....
Here comes the exciting part!
Where can I get this exciting product, you might ask...
Well wonder no more!

KKcenterHk was nice enough to provide all The RAWR Shop readers a 10% discount on their website!

Product Name:
N.NAIL Studs Regular Triangle Silver 5mm Nail Art Decorations [NNAIL-DRN637]

Price:
$5.28 USD

RAWR SHOP- Roses, Glitters, and Awesomeness

HEY GANG!
Hope you're all having a great week so far! Today I have a RAWR Shop mani to show you.
Amanda came for a visit couple of days ago, and this was the outcome.

This is a gel set, we gave her a wee bit of length using Amore International products.
For the art, we used China Glaze's Turned Up Turquoise, Flip Flop Fantasy, and Fairy Dust
I also created a glittery fade using Platinum and Paradise from Michael's

I may or may not have a glitter problem....

Amanda wears colours VERY well. So basically everything looks great on her.
...and roses...everybody loves roses!!

This, I find, is a great way to introduce nail art to those who have yet to experience the awesomeness of it all.
and quite honestly...what girl doesn't like a little bit a lot of glitter?
Well folks, that's all for me today! Hope you enjoy your nails, Amanda!

Have a fantastic day, pretty friends of mine!
