RAWR Shop- Sponge-Mania

Well hello friends! Hope you are ALL doing fantastic! It's been a week since we last talked...felt like years :(
Today at The RAWR Shop I have prepared something "spring-like".
Since school started, I haven't really been able to do much nail art...but yesterday, the beautiful Dani @ Call It Beauty and I FINALLY got to see each other and make magic.

For this mani, we used the following:

China Glaze- Aquadelic, Flip Flop Fantasy, Glistening Snow
Zoya- Zuza, Ginessa
OPI- DS Magic
Rimmel London- Wild Orchid
Silver Hexa-Glitters

 (I know...so many)

I'm experiencing a little bit of blog identity crisis...
Not sure if I should stick with a black background or white...I must say though, the colours did come through more vibrantly with a white background...
So I guess it all depends on the mani.

I'm still undecided...help?

We were going to put more designs over top, but Dani liked the effect so much, she didn't want to cover them up.
By the By!! This design is on top of a gel set my friend and I did for our final exam!

Speaking of which...
I'M DONE LEVEL ONE of NAIL SCHOOL!!!!!!
...and you will be pleased to know that I passed with 98.66% in theory, and 100% in practical
That means in 5 months, I'll be a Certified Nail Technician!
*excite*

in the meantime...I'll just be this...
Who am I kidding, I'm gunna be FOREVER THIS!
...ngehehe...

Have a SUPER weekend, folks!

Zara Inspired- Navajo Print Mani

Hello beauty people!
If you follow me on Twitter you would have perhaps saw my tweet about this...
I was browsing the Zara website yesterday and saw THIS shirt

(source: Zara)

Then I immediately decided that I needed it in my life. And then match my nails to it when I get home!!!
But of course, with it being on sale for $12, it was gone by the time I got to the store :(

*ugly crying face*
But that's okay, I'll still do the mani!

For this look, I used the following items:

Color Club- Wild Child
Zoya- Pippa
OPI- Did You Ear About Van Gough?
and red acrylic paint
So what do you think? Did I pull it off??
<tangent> I learned something new today. This print is called the Navajo Print! </tangent>

I'd definitely wear this again....Thanks for the inspiration, Zara!

-PS-
Ever since I got the claws taken off, I've been experiencing nail fails and blog blahs...
You know...the feeling when you're just not in love with ANYTHING?? Yea...
I knew it was going to happen. It's amazing what enhancements could do to you inspiration-wise.
But thanks to you guys with your super luvin'....I'm slowly feeling the fails and blahs fading away :D

SO! To anyone feeling the same way...embrace the blahs....and make MEME's like this:

Don't worry, 6 was all I could hold at the time...I usually carry a basket when I say that...
BAHAHAHAHA

Have a good hump day, folks!

Gradient Claws

Hello lovers and friends!!
Hope you're all having the best Thursday, ever.
While we're all crazy about gradient, I figure, why not another one?

So here it is!
To achieve the above look, I used the following:

China Glaze- For Audrey, Color Club- Age of Aquarius, Zoya- Cynthia
A sponge, and Black and Silver acrylic paint for the lines.

I've been craving a lot of bright and obnoxious colours lately....and Age of Aquarius makes me happy
This mani makes the RAWR Claws look so....claw-y....
(does that make sense?)

Here's a shot with For Audrey...LOVE this colour (with Domo photo-bombing in the background)

I feel so evil with this mani.....
MWAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
*evil laugh*

Random moment of the day:
So I was watching the last Harry Potter movie yesterday....and I noticed THIS:

VOLDEMORT HAS STILETTO NAILS?!
That is all...

Have a good day, everyone!

Vacation Nails: Instant Galaxy

Good morning friends!
TODAY IS MY FAKE FRIDAY!
You might not know this, but I'm going to a place FAH FAH away... (well not really)
BEHOLD! My vacation nails!!

When I'm on vacation, the last thing I want to worry about is breaking a nail.
So the first thing I did was cut them. (PS- wow, I have child size nails)

The next thing is....I need something that'll last.
So I went with the following combination:
Zoya's Cynthia, and NYC's Starry Silver Glitter

Okay, can we talk about Cynthia for a second?
 SAO. PRETTY.
It looks like black...but it's actually a dark teal....and it's SOOO SHINY!!

I mentioned in my other post that I bought the NYC polish at Rite Aid for 99 cts!
This polish is packed with awesome glittery goodness...
Look at the glitters!!

Okay, so yes. This is my vacation nails.
It looks like a galaxy mani...without all the work lol

So that's it for the next week and a half guys!
I'll report back if these last throughout my vacation! :)

See you when I get back, lovers!
<3

Do you do your nails when you're on vacation?

Fun with Cynthia

Hello lovers! Happy Friday!
The weekend is finally here...

Today I have for you a mani featuring Zoya's Cynthia

I've been looking for a colour like this for quite some time...

From the website:
Zoya nail polish in Cynthia ca be best described as: A smoky, blackened peacock teal with soft warm undertones. A very uncommon shade of blue for a subtle but funky look

I knew I had to have it when I saw it on the website.
I will do a full swatch later on, but let's look at this mani first! :)

I achieved this by painting my nails with XXI's nude polish as base.
Then I free handed the "V"s with Cynthia
Look how shiny it is....

At first, it looked like this

But my OCD kicked in, and decided that the V's weren't even....
and I wanted them all to look like my pointing finger so I used a tiny brush and put on more nude polish
Yea, the lines now look better, but the nude polish started bubbling...
-___-"

*blech*

Anyhoo, several top coats later....I was able to smooth it out...
still not as smooth as originally applied but tolerable.

This mani is simple yet it contains just enough complexity to satisfy the creative side of my brain.
I also love the colour combination...
Dark Teal and Nude make a good team =D

Have a beautiful weekend, friends!!

ZOYA I'm in LOVE!

Guh.....I.....I just can't.... *dies*
Today is the perfect day to show you my new found love...
Words can't describe how AMAZING this polish is.
YES, I'm talking about Zoya's Savita

Ladies, you need this in your collection.

This polish has a matte finish.
It contains the kind of shimmer that, even when matte, shines like diamonds in the sky.

*photo bomb*

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT
I've been running around flapping my arms back and forth...
because I can't handle the gorgeousness coming out of this bottle.
You guys, I'm so in love.

The only thing with this polish though....
I put this on on Sunday, and this is what it looked like on Monday afternoon

I washed my hands, and moisturized a couple of times, and this was the outcome...
Maybe it's because I didn't put a base coat on (i got too excited, k?)
Do any of you have the same experience?

Regardless of it all, I'm still VERY impressed with this polish.
I sense a load of nail art to be had with this polish....

Dear Zoya, I'm in love <3

oh and PS- Happy Valentines Day, lovers!! =D
