The RAWR! Monsters

Today, I have probably my most favourite design I've EVER come up with...
I've been wanting to do the monsters for a while now...but just never got around to it...until I saw these:

A pack of Wiggle Eyes at Michaels? YES PLEASE!
So I grabbed a pack, giggled my way through the whole entire store and got started.
What can I say, I get amused easily.

To draw the monsters, I used the following:
Color Club's Ooh La La, and The Hungry Asian's Sneeze Breeze

I won Sneeze Breeze in her latest giveaway.
This polish is packed with awesome glitters. I absolutely LOVE!

I also used acrylic paint that I got from Michaels.

Now...the monsters....
I searched up some ugly monsters on google for inspiration and found this picture:

...and then these happened...
I can't look at these and NOT laugh....the wiggle eyes totally just bring them to life!
They're so ugly that they're ADORABLE!

These wiggle eyes make me wish I had bigger nails so I could stick them ALL OVER!
My favourite monster has GOT to be the little guy on my pinky....

Anyway, I hope you had a good laugh at these creatures...because I sure did!
That's all for me today!

Have a great weekend, my loves!

Lock & Key

Oh HAI! Do you know what today is?
We're almost there...Friday is so close I could taste it!

Today I have another bright mani for you...since Fall is just around the corner
*sad face*

Today's mani features the very bright, very lovely: Flip Flop Fantasy by China Glaze
It's almost impossible to capture the true colour of this polish...
I hunted this baby down, because they're so popular, and so hard to come by!

Denise from DEEZ NAILS introduced this colour to me....and I've been obsessed ever since.
So thanks for that!!

This mani kind of came out of the blue....
No specific reason why or how it came about lol because I'm random like that

That's all for me today!
Hope you enjoyed today's mani.

-while I have you here-
It's shameless promotion time!
We are aiming for 1000 views before Sept 1st for my latest cover video...
(oh but we're so far from that...)

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
<3 Thanks in advance, lovers <3

Beauty Fair 2012 Nail Event (picture heavy)

Hello my beautiful peoples!

I had the pleasure to work along side the VERY TALENTED Denise at DEEZ NAILS this past weekend.
...the picture you see above is what I called my "Working Nails"...

Denise invited me to be a part of this awesome event put on by the UBC Beauty Avenue
Of course I was excited and jumped right on board.
I didn't forget my camera this time!! Aren't you proud of me? There were tons of awesome stands at this event! But we were so swamped, I didn't get to buy anything! :(

So this was our set up:

As you can see....I didn't waste any time to put my new brush set to good use!
Thanks, MASH Nails!

So within 6 hours, I did 8 manicures/nail designs. 8!!!!!!! I was pretty beat by the end of it...but boy, how time flies when you're having FUN!

Check out the mani's I did:

I had an AWESOME time at this event, and met some amazing people.
Can I do this everyday now?

(photo cred: Deez Nails Instagram)

We definitely need MOAR events like this around town...this was such a great way to connect with everyone.
We then celebrated our hard work by stuffing our faces with sushi.
I'll spare you the pictures and details, but just know it was GLORIOUS and everything we imagined it to be.

Have a great day, my lovelies!

MASH Brush Set

Today I'd like to share with you my FIRST EVER product review!
*throws confetti*

A while ago, I received this brush set from MASH for review and let me tell 'ya! I did the excitement dance only a couple of times. lol
The set comes in a black pouch, with slots to hold each brush in place. It is perfect if you're traveling.
(source: MASH Website)

From MASH's website:
"This amazing set of nail art brushes come with three drawing tools, seven painting tools (also can be used as gel nail curing brushes), two liners, one dotting tool, two fan brushes which allow you to great absolutely gorgeous nail art effects. "

Oh, it's amazing, alright!

So let's move on to the mani! What better designs to test out brushes than a tribal print?
I decided to start with these two brushes:

I used the longer drawing brush to outline my designs. This ensures a straighter and cleaner line on the nail.
Then I used the shorter brush for filling in, and the dots on the thumb.

Doing nail art with these brushes was a BREEZE! The bristles were soft, and easy to navigate.
Compared to my overused brush I hold sentimental value of...this was definitely a breath of fresh air.

For this mani, I used the following:

Color Club- Electric Sunset, and China Glaze- Kalahari Kiss

I was on a nude/beige polish binge a while back...
Then the amazing Sarah from Chalkboard Nails suggested that I get Kalahari Kiss for my tribal mani's.
After she twisted my rubber arm....I picked it up....and HO-MAH-GAH! I love this colour!!

My two cents:
It may take me a while to go through all the brushes...and the likelihood of me using ALL of them is slim.
BUT! I will say that the quality is definitely there, and I would personally purchase a set for myself had it not been sent to me for review.

A good brush ensures clean designs on your nails and honest to say, this set is a great and affordable choice.

Like these brushes?
They are available for $9.99 on the MASH website!

Hope you found my review useful!

Warhol Stripes

Hi, it's me again!

Before we start, I have to get this outta me:
I'm not exactly sure why...but I've been feeling *sao* uninspired and I think it's showing through my work.
Not saying that I'm not enjoying doing nail art...I love! I just feel like it's the same thing over and over again...
So for that, I apologize and thank you for being so accommodating with my BLAHS.

Now that we got THAT out of the way....
This is what I have on today. It seems that summer is getting close to calling it quits on us...
So I want to fit in as much neon manis as possible.

PREPARE THY EYES! Meet Color Club's Warhol!

This neon pink is so bright that the camera didn't know what to do with itself...
I wanted something simple yet eye this happened.....
Inspired once again by THIS mani, done by the very talented Haus Of Lacquer.

I decided to paint my stupid finger a solid colour, because it's stupid.

I shaped my nails some more last night! They're getting more and more stiletto-like!

Have a good HUMP day, lovers!

RAWR Shop- MOAR Neon Tribals!

Hello my beautifuls! It's TUESDAY!!
That means 3 more days, then it's the weekend....but who's counting really?

Today's post features the very lovely Dani @ Call It Beauty.
It's always a blast having her here because she comes up with the best ideas...also we goof off...a lot lol
I swear people would think we're "special" if they saw us together in REAL LIFE
But "special" is just another word for AWESOME! So I'll take it.

We used TONS of colours:

As you can see....I need more Color Clubs!
So I've decided that we are going to photo-bomb this mani...because I am so in LURVE!
In fact, I like it so much, I made it my new banner :D

She always takes awesome pictures of me doing her NAYOS!

...I could do this all day...

Anyhoo, that's all for me today!
Have a FANTABULOUS day, you sexy beasts!

Gradient Magic not a friend of mine....
But no worries....This gradient will sure cheer you up...maybe lol

I did this for my weekend mani....and thought it'd be a shame to not share with you!
I used Color Club's Electro Candy, and Urban Outfitter's Bandeau.
Pink and purple... two of my favourites.

I've been so obsessed with this pink...I wore it almost everyday last week!!
I'd have to say...this is perhaps my favourite gradient I've done BY FAR!

I love this so much I made the BF take of picture of it HAHA

Needless to say, he was mildly uncomfortable lol
This mani got quite a bit of attention, and my hands were molested numerous times...
I gotta say....It felt nice HAHAHA

Anyway, hope you enjoyed this bright gradient!
Have a wonderful day, my lovelies!!

Mix & Match

Within minutes of knowing me, you would quickly learn that I am an UBER random person.
What does that mean? I'm all over the place.

This mani is no different.
I've been wearing obnoxious highlighter colours ALL WEEK! Be proud of me!
The base is Color Club's Electro's so obnoxious...and SO AWESOME!

I know I shouldn't pick favourites....but I like the design on my thumb the most...
I do believe I will do another mani with this particular design :D

I still don't feel like I'm fully back from my BLAHS....
I really do miss my talons :(

But hey! Project GROW LONG NAILS is coming along nicely! Have you noticed?
This is probably the longest my real nails have ever been....
That's it for me today! Hope you like today's mani!

Have a great weekend, lovers!

80's Dance Party

ohh.....the 80's.....
I just love the bright outfits....but can you imagine me walking down the street with them hot pants on?

(source: google)

Yea, I'll spare you.... So on my nails it is!! lol
To achieve above look, I used the following:

Color Club- Electro Candy
Wet n Wild- I Need A Refresh-Mint

They're so awesome together! I'm so glad the new WnW polishes changed their brushes....
It's wider and applies perfectly...unlike the old ones -___-

I MAY OR MAY NOT have been shouting out Patti Labelle's New Attitude off the top of my lungs throughout the whole mani... don't judge me

I decided to do a nude accent nail mom says I'm special.

Steph from Haus Of Lacquer did these a while ago...and immediately I fell in love with the concept!
Thanks for the inspiration, Steph! <3

If I ever get invited to one of those can expect me to show up with nails like these lol

Have a great day, lovers!!
