I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up...The idea of growing up alone is scary to me lol

Anyway, I want to share some exciting news with you. 

I've recently discovered that I'm into nail art....HAHAHA Let me rephrase....

I recently discovered that I'm capable of doing nail art.

So I've decided that I'm going to go to school to learn more on how to become the 

-Chinese Nail Parlour Lady-

I haven't exactly enrolled into the class yet. But all signs are pointing towards YES.

So I'm going to go for it!

I'm excited!

I did sit ups, box jumps, wall balls, and burpees.

So for today's mani. We have this lace/fishnet looking thing...lol (so technical with my naming)

I've been trying to do the lace look without putting actual lace on my nails for a while...

and I think this is the closest I've been to make it look remotely like lace

Fishnets....lace....both sexy, close...right?!

I have a peachy/nude base on from Forever 21. I love their polishes.

Then I used my black nail art polish, and drew criss cross lines (fishnets) across my nails.

To finish it off, I added frillies at the end! 

Here's a breakdown of my frilly making:

These actually look better from far.

I was kind of disappointed after seeing the pictures...because up close it lacks detail.

But see? From a distance, it looks nice!

annnnnd....I took the crossfit mani off last night...but left this guy on:

I couldn't take him off...His face makes me laugh every time I look down....

(I'm easily amused)

I think I need to give him a name.

My CrossFit Assessment Experience...on my nails

I know you're waiting anxiously for my post about yesterday's CrossFit experience...

Ready for the ultimate whinage?

MY ARMS HURRRRRRRRRT!!!! >.< 

So I was really nervous going into this, considering the fact that I can't remember the last time I worked out.

I did yoga...but I knew that it's nothing compared to what I was about to endure.

What is CrossFit? 

It is a strength and conditioning brand. 

CrossFit combines weightlifting, sprinting, and gymnastics (Source: web)

I only did the assessment yesterday. Which means...it wasn't even the full workout.

This was my face, THE WHOLE TIME

The coach was super nice, and encouraging...but I was secretly cursing his name in my head

...over and over and over again...

This was the workout he put me through:

500m row

40 squats

30 sit ups

20 tucked elbow push ups

10 PULL UPS AKA death

The rowing, squats and sit ups were okay....I got tired pretty quickly....

He made me tuck my elbows in...and I had to touch my chest to the ground for it to count as 1

There was a point where my chest touched the ground and I didn't get back up. The floor never felt so great.

Then came the pull ups.

Which inspired today's mani...and in case it wasn't clear enough...

I had trouble REACHING the monkey bars standing on the blocks in the first place.

THEN I HAD TO PULL MYSELF UP?! With the assistant band of course.

He didn't count it if my chin wasn't above the bars. *ugly cry*

Coach: That's it! You're done! Don't you feel great?

Me: Oh, thanks! I think I'm going to go to my car and cry now.

He laughed....but I wasn't joking

I couldn't feel my arms. I had trouble reaching for the seatbelt. I couldn't get changed...

Apparently, what I did was just the warm up. People who go to crossfit regularly do them in 7 minutes...

I did them in 14....HAHA FAIL!

In case you're wondering....I did the mani with these.

(Sidenote: heh Magic Nail....Just one. lol and see CAT in the back?)

But yes, I loved my ugly face so much, I had a little fun with it.

hahaha, I could do this all day!

The verdict?

I'm going back....on Monday.....haha, YAY CROSSFIT!!!

Practice makes perfect....

O'HAII!!!

I got bored last night...Yes I know I put myself on a nail break...but I only played with the Nail Art polishes

That doesn't count right? RIGHT!

These are pretty random....but then SO IS MY LIFE....

lol I probably wouldn't wear them ALL at the same time, but these are good for practising!

After seeing these pictures, they actually turned out better than I thought! Which is mega awesome.

So I've been wanting to do Burberry designs on my nails for a while now...

It's been done MANY times, by EVERYBODY lol

But lines and stripes are so cool....so I did it too.

I was just practising the lines, and the spacing...

When I actually do a full on Burberry mani though, I would have a nude/tan base under those lines.

After doing Burberry fingers, I remembered how hard leopard print was...so I did one on the index finger

and WOW, it was like ZOOP-BOOM-BAP....done......AWESOME SAUCE

Guess I'll be doing them leopard rawr nails soon....squeeeee!!

As for the thumb....I had nothing thought out

so I took all the colours and did stripes...yay stripes!!

Loafers & Lace

Hey Guys!

Here is my creation for today. I thought of it on my way home from work....

I used the French maid outfit as inspiration and built from there.

They didn't turn out as good as I would have hoped, but I think it's pretty cute for day to day wear.

I used Revlon's Lunar and Sally Hansen's White

These kind of remind me of these grandpa loafers... I like it! lol

What I was REALLY hoping for was to create some sort "lace looking" design....

So I added on some black dots on the white part as layers

...and another fail...

When you look at it from really really reaaaallllyyyyyy far away, it does sort of look lacey

hehe nail design is still a learning process, but it only gets better from here :)

I think I'm going to start drawing designs with acrylic paint.

Drawing with nail polish is hardening my brushes...and I find it hard to control my brush and the intensity of stroke.

Just this past weekend, I went down to the states (Bellingham) and found this pair of boots

I found them in Charlotte Russe

They were the right colour, the right size, and get this...... it was $15!!

Without even thinking about it, I bought them....after doing a victory dance in the store of course.

They had a ton of shoes for $15...especially boots.

From flat to wedges, they even have those other the knee high heel boots

However, in order to pull that off, one would require long legs, and walking skills. To which NONE I possess. So I opt for this one.

I left the store a VERY happy girl

So today, I wore the boots with my H&M cream sweater with stripes, and my XXI scarf

I really wanted to try ALL of them out so I sat there one day and did this:

Nail Break

Hello lovelies!

I've been giving my nails a break the last couple of days because they were crying for oxygen.

So I thought I should probably let them rest for a while...

I looked at my collection yesterday and was SO tempted to pick up a polish and start designing...

But I said NO! These nails need to breath...

While I have you here...

do any of you nail gurus know how to keep your paint brush from hardening?

I tried soaking them in polish removers...but no luck =/

Anyway, I should probably do more research.

In the meantime, please enjoy this video of kitties.
