Thrifty Nifty

Ahh....Monday....My most favouritest day of the week....(not!)
It's been a while since I shared my cheap finds with you. So today is the day.

First up!
NYC's Matte me Crazy

I've been looking for a nice matte top coat for a while. I've tried:
CND's "Super Matte" (DO NOT RECOMMEND!!)
Sephora/OPI's Matte Top Coat
and Butter London's Matte Finish.

Out of the three, Butter London was the best one...it delivered a perfect matte finish....but the thought of spending $24 on a bottle of polish made me want to cry a little. So I kept looking...

I came across this one in Rite Aid. Tried it on, and decided that it was going home with me.
This retails for $1.99 USD, I have yet to see it in drugstores in Canada.

I go absolutely gaga when it mattifies glitters, shimmers, and holos.
SO PRETTY!
So if you see this at your local drugstore, pick it up. You won't regret it.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Next up,
Jordana's Quick Shine Topcoat and Extra Garlic Basecoat

If you're like me, waiting for polishes to dry is torture, I never am patient enough to let it dry completely.
So needless to say, speed dry is important!
I was strolling around the cosmetic section in my local grocery store this weekend and found these babies.
The quick shine topcoat claims to dry within 60 seconds.

Let me tell ya, it did not disappoint!!

As I tried on this top coat, I immediately associated the smell with Seche Vite.
That's when I knew I may have hit the jackpot...lol

Unfortunately, Seche Vite still contain harmful chemicals in their formula (Formaldehyde)

All Jordana polishes are TFF & DBP free.
TFF & DBP Free: do not contain Toluene, Formaldehyde, or DBP – Dibutyl Phthalate

At the beauty supply store I go to, they have this section full of garlic base coats.
I was super curious but decided against it.
This Garlic base coat goes on smoothly. Dries almost clear with perhaps just a tint of cloudiness.
As for the nail growth claim, I will have to update you on that since I just bought it two days ago.
...and no, it didn't smell like garlic...
BONUS!

I got these Jordana polishes for $1.99/ each

Hope you found these reviews helpful!
:) Have a great day, lovelies!

Cheap things make me happy....

Hello Lovers!
It's been a while since I share with you my cheap finds...so here it is!

Shoes
Just this past weekend, I went down to the states (Bellingham) and found this pair of boots

I found them in Charlotte Russe

Here is the link to the exact pair on their website: CLICK ME
They were the right colour, the right size, and get this...... it was $15!!
Without even thinking about it, I bought them....after doing a victory dance in the store of course.

They had a ton of shoes for $15...especially boots.
From flat to wedges, they even have those other the knee high heel boots
However, in order to pull that off, one would require long legs, and walking skills. To which NONE I possess. So I opt for this one.

I left the store a VERY happy girl

So today, I wore the boots with my H&M cream sweater with stripes, and my XXI scarf

NEXT
I want to show you the rings I bought from Ebay a while back!
They're so cute....

The best part?
They're $1.60 each + free shipping....
HAHAHA

Get yours HERE and HERE

=D
that's all, folks!

Cheap Finds- Ebay Dress

Let's face it, EBAY isn't the best place to be buying clothing from...
I think we've all been there, buying an item and receive something no where near what it claimed to be. Not sure about you guys, but the sizing has always been an issue for me.
But, I think I lucked out this time! I was browsing through dresses and came acorss this one:
cute right? I thought so!
You can buy one for yourself here

Bought this dress with free shipping for the price of $12.99!!
I'd say it's a good deal even if you just wear it once.
The fabric on the model looks to be cotton, but the one I received is polyester/lycra? This results in not much enforcement on the "hour glass" shape... but that is an easy fix. I'll just put a belt on!
Unfortunately, it's one size fits all, but because of the stretchy material, it should fit up to a medium?
It's one piece, but the top half is lace, and the bottom has 2 layers. I enjoy this...because the flappy bottom covers my secrets when I over-indulge... bahaha

Today's Nail colour + Cheap finds

Today's Nail colour is brought to you by:
Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear in Grey Area

I've always been a fan of Sally Hansen's nail polish. Over the weekend, I went to my local London Drugs, and this colour immediately caught my eyes. I've been into browns, and tans lately (mostly because of the weather) so needless to say....I got pretty excited. At first I thought this was really similar to ESSIE's Smoking Hot,  but then I flipped it over to look at the name of this colour...and it's apparently a shade of grey? Weird, right?...I though so....

But look, once I put it on...it does show up as a really dark grey!

After I finished top coating and cleaning the polish on my nails, I got bored...(what else is new?) Then I remembered that there was this thing on NailPorn that I really wanted to try...so off comes the polish.

I did this free hand, because I didn't have any of those ring enforcers around. Excuse my grandma looking fingers...they look like they're crying for some lotion or something LOL
Anyway, I'm pretty proud of myself for not making too big of a mess around the cuticles...I think tonight I will try to layer this up with a lighter shade, will keep you updated if all goes well!

On to my cheap find on the weekend.
Who doesn't love a deal?

I was flipping through H&M's accessories in the sale section, and came across this ring.

$2

I'm a happy girl

...and that is all...
